I just recently broke the world record for a brown bullhead. The record has been broken by over a pound according to the IGFA. What are the potential endorsements and earnings for such a world record.

I hope you got it weighed on a certified scale and everything was documented correctly!

It was weighed in, and certified by the department of environmental conservation..is there potential for big money either from endorsements or awards?

Potential $$? Maybe, if the tackle manufacturers of the tackle/gear you used are willing to pay. Contact all of them!

I'm not sure but i would guess no, Since it's not one of the more popular freshwater species. Bass, walleye, pike , crappie and fish like that are the ones companies make good money on baits for. That is where most endorsements would come from, IMO.
Might write the companies of the equipment you were using to see what they say - rod and reel , line , hooks, bait stuff like that.
But congratulations and would love to see a pic of it.

i'm going to contact some of them.. what would u say? would u straight up tell them your interested in making some $$$ or just ask them if its a story that interest them?
