Fishes are dying off.

That is odd, never been to an lfs that doesn't sell test kits or test water. Anyway's keep us updated on the tank situation. How is the fish that you pulled out of the tank doing I think it was the venuestus?

lol i was reading this totally thinking it was peacock bass you were talking about...like wtf is this guy thinking! peacock cichlids are beautiful fish i hope you get this issued resolved before you lose any of em.

The venustus got stuck on the pump. It was carelessness on my part.
I don't really know why none of the lfs here sells the test kits.
I've added a bit of rock salt and antichlorine to the tank, so far I haven't lost any fish for a couple of days.
