Fishing in Fish tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've done pet fishing to this degree. I'd take my ferret's toy and tie it to a light tackle fishing rig. I'd reel it in on low drag and would eventually catch a ferret.

But in the tank... no. I don't let my fish know that I hunt their wild cousins.

My dad's friend kept a Jack Dempsey in a 29 gallon for about 11 years, and he used to catch it on a line every time we went over there. I even got to catch it a couple times when i was like 4.

I remember he always used june bugs for bait and "Jack" was always kicking when we came back.

Regardless, i still think it's a bad idea. Probably just going to end badly

Even if it does not hurt the fish, I don't know if it does. It adds unwanted stress and also they can bleed and what not if they swallow it. I do not advise it.

This just sounds...deadly to me *.*

Have you actually done it??
