Well it took awhile but I finally arrived in Sunny S. Florida yesterday afternoon as planned. But because my reels are still out at the repair shop, back in Long Island, NY I wasn't able to start fishing until today when my buddy and his son picked me up at 7am. We fished for 8 hours today and caught a total of 28 LMB :D and 1 Tilapia :irked: for the day. My buddy has a Flip video Cam now and was driving us nuts this morning with trying to capture a good run. Unfortunately all of the days Bass where small, nothing really to talk about. But it beats working. Tomorrow we'll be going out in the boat, on a good producing lake. So I hope to have some pics to show of fish tomorrow.

 Dont be mean!!!!!

Not too worry likestofish, I know it was a question not a statement. Those are what we call nice size fish, the fish from the previous day where the small ones. I think the largest was 1lbs ~ 1.5lbs. :irked:

Here is the only picture that was taken that day my first Bass of the day and the largest of the fish caught that day.

Actually looks larger than it was. We normally don't take pics of the fish this size, they either have too be larger or tiny to warrant a photo. Like on Dec 17Th we caught 34 Bass but only shot a few pics. If I took a photo of every fish Bass or other that was caught, wow I would have a sore trigger finger :D.

Don't get me wrong small 1lbs Bass can be fun especially when they school but I prefer catching larger Bass, all day long ever possible.

The fishing has slowed down due to drop in temp today and all the rain plus cold front coming in for few days . We are going to get 60 degree nights here imagine colder by you and that is enough to shut the fishing down other than sunfish.

I was catching Miyans /Jags yesterday as was mid 80s sunny and maintenance guy from work caught 2 - 6 inch PB but today nothing not a bite .
Coming week will be dead but not sure how it will be for what you go after LMB.

Today we got a late start 10am with the boat on a decent lake and in less than 3 hours we had 16 Bass between the two of us. We broke for lunch at 1pm and started fishing again at 2pm without the boat at a different lake this time because Jack had stuff to do at 4:30pm. So we fished to 4pm and the total for the day was 34 Bass in just under five hours.

Thats a lot of bass to catch in a day. I have never caught a large LMB only PB . The lmb they go near the lure but dont hit it just chase it .

Have only caught few smallish ones

thats a nice looking fish

Awoke this morning to the sound of pouring rain:nilly:, so we had a game plan change setup just in chase. Jack went to the gym and run 5 miles while I slept until 10am, he swung by picked me up at 11am and we headed first to pickup new fishing vests that were on sale at this one place and I grabbed a new SPRO Frog there too, then too Bestbuy to checkout sales and then we headed over to our favorite watering hole for lunch with the plan to head over to Dick's Sporting Goods afterwards. Well while we were eating the sky cleared up and the sun came out so we scrapped Dick's Sporting Goods for a shot at the other half of the lakes we fished yesterday. Well were in the car headed to the lakes when the sky opens up again and out of frustration we call it day:irked:.

Well about an hour after I get home, guess who makes another appearance the sun. I grab a rod & freshly spooled reel and my new SPRO Frog and head to the lake behind the house. In the last year or so this lake hasn't been a producer at all. I was just going to throw the frog and tighten up the newly spooled reel, for tomorrows 8am boating run. About 15 cast and 30 to 45 feet from my back door, WAM, SPLash and the reel screams like its on fire O'shiite I didn't tighten the drag back after spooling. I grab the reel tight hold fast and set the hook, then I grab for the drag and tighten it down - Fish on, I know it's a good size fish because I saw it hit the Spro Frog.

The pic doesn't do the Bass justice, I'd say it was somewhere in the 6+ range. My father took the pic and it took him forever to understand point, look at the screen and shoot.

One fish for the whole day but it was worth it:headbang2

I saw that CF had the last post in this thread, and I was thinking, if this guy goes fishing right now, he's off a rocker
