Arrived at first spot of the day at 3:30, its the same as yesterday. Me and big brother have a theory that if u have a good day at a spot dont return the day after cause for some reason its hard to have two very good days back to back on the same body of water. Im talking about from the shore. Anyway i didnt get my first bite until 4:10. Was getting restless and was fishing very quick, in search mode. I threw out and as i was about to raise the bait out of the water i bass struck at it but missed. So i figured it didnt swim far so i followed the cast with a swim bait cast but after two more cast said to myself "either he is gone or doesnt want the sebil". Picked back up the other pole and threw back in the same direction BAM fish on. A nice 13-14 inch bass. Small but ha it was better then nothing. After the catch i walked to the back part of the lake. While i was fishing a dude came up to me and we started talking about other fishing spots. He gave me directions to a small pond around the corner from where we were and i never knew it was there. Needless to say it become the next spot of the day.
After picking up wifey up from work . I used his directions and found a nice small body of water that didnt seem to get fished much. He had said it was a couple four pounders in it. Second cast BAM fish on a nice middle to high 2 pounder. My wife was like dang that was fast so she picked up a spinner bait pole and began fishing. Didnt get another bite but i think its going to be a good decent shore fishing spot for quickies.

It was a slow day but ha

FYI-Getaways are fish that are are hooked and fought but get off before they reach the boat. NOT BITES

TIME FISHED-12:00-4:45

As 12:00 came the trolling motor was already in motion. This is the first time we fished this body of water this season.
The first fish came in at 12:30 a nice two pounder. On the very nice cast i caught a small pickeral. On this body of water it's like a big lake in the front then a canel that leads to another big open lake. In the canel part we didnt get anything, whice is a good 3/4 of a mile long. After being alittle disappointed cause the fish werent bitting and on top of the fact we had came so far to get to the back. The back of the lake is usually where we do very good at. At 12:53 my brother got a 2.7 bass jigging in front of a brush pile and then we reentered the canal in route to the front .

Made it to the front without a bite. We went all the way to where the water drops off at and where i had caught the first fish from. I dropped the anchor rite in the middle where we could reach all 3 shore lines. At 3:04 we did a double with two small bass. At 3:17 we did another double but this time only mine was a small one. My brother pulled in a 4.7lb bass!! We both went on to get to two more small bass(8-14"s)

PRIME TIME-3:00

Between 3:00-3:30 we caught four fish with four more from 3:30-4:30 when it seemed like they were shutting down and we decided to leave.

ive been using different sizes of lipless crankbaits. i lost 2 spooks and 1 frog. im going to get some swim baits today and a few new crankbaits. ive been fishing 5 times this year and caught 1 fish.

are you fishing wooded cover, or are fish stealing all these lures?

oh i dont plan on it , but its snowed today . Its supposed to be back up in the 50s by tues. so ill have to wait a little.

Fished today at the dam again, from 7am-noon (in the pouring rain) only landed two but rolled about 8. Tomorrow is another day and fishing should be better because of all the rain. Good luck guys

i guess its some wooded cover. I think more so because i cast parralel to the shore line vice strait out from it. maybe.
