FISH LANDED-I-11/Dennis-9

Dennis wanted to go to one of his favorite spots today, so the journey begun at 8am at "Allentown Lake". The water was 58 when we started and the bite wasnt there so I switced up to see if I could catch some crappie. So I'm throwing the little jig head and a boober and I see something on the shore line feeding and I tell Dennis to throw his spinner bait "right over there". Bam first fish was landed when he pulled in this little 5" bass. He then asked me how did I know there was a fish there, I told him magic. I didnt make it a good ten minutes tring to catch crappie so I pulled out the lipless crank bait and landed 4 within the next hour. The bite wasnt what we were expecting so we packed it and made are way back to the "Amazon".

The was a detour cause of some fleamarket that cause me to get lost and when I finnally knew where I was, I stopped at one of my old shore fishing spots to show Dennis. Its called "Imlaystown Lake". We were only there 7 minutes and I was able to land a decent bass and a small CP.

Back on the water a 12 and Dennis landed his second of the day right off the back. My seventh fish should of been a decent bass but it decided that it wasnt coming in the boat and shook off. I was alittle upset but not for long. Instead my seventh fish of the day was a MONSTER 3.7lb CP that straight killed the 'lipless" from about 70ft away(WHAT A FIGHT) :headbang2. Shortly after we did a doulble(mine was bigger). I went on to land 3 more bass and Dennis stayed focused today and landed six more before the day was over. Dennis set out to beat me today and he almost did cause I put alot of time in searching for the bigger fish today while fishing with the rattling jig with a craw dad on it. I finally was able to land one on it today when a nice 16"er picked it up underneath a laydown.

Still no 5 pounder, alillte slower day then yesterday but all in all it was a good day!!!

Here's a shot that I'm sure everyone will enjoy, this is my Florida fishing buddy with his number 11,000th Large Mouth Bass caught on May 20, 2009. :OMG:

No that's not a typo this guy has caught, counted and logged 11,000 (that's Eleven Thousand) LMB since he moved to Florida, which I think was 7 yrs ago. That's an average of 1,500+ fish per year.

Man if I can post up pictures from my phone, I went fishing on Friday morning and got 3 Red Drums about 35 inch+! Release 2 and grilled one! :)

Places fished 1
Hours fished 4.5
Fish landed I~12 friends~2.

Went fishing saturday on a private pond that i had never fished before.
We got there at 3 and it was a nice sunny day.
The owner said that the biggest bass caught there was 6 lbs and i was excited!
I put on my trusty Rapala countdown and after walking around and casting Hooked a bass it fought a bit and i pulled him up.
A nice 14 inch bass!

I measured and wieghed it. it was a tiny bit moe then a pound.
After fishing more with it i decided to put on a lure that would be effective at the top as it was extremely shallow.
I tied on a rapala original floating and the first cast a fish slammed it at the surface i pulled the fish in and it weighed .94 lbs. It was 12 inches.

The next cast i had a bite and the one after that i landed another, about the same size as the one before.

I landed a few more after helping my friends with there rods.
I hooked into a big one, probably about 14 inches but he got off.
The bites slowed as it got cooler but I slammed a nice 13 incher. It gave me the best fight that day.

One of my friends caught the first bluegill and then another caught her first fish, a 12 incher.
I caught the smallest bass of the day. it was about nine inches and then hooked a 11 inch bass that got away.
It was strange from there all the bass left and only bluegill were biting i caught 3 and finally caught another 12 inch bass.
After that it was only bluegills untill i finally landed a 10 inch crappie.

No matter what lure i used i caught nothing else.
I regret the fact that i forgot my rapala skitter pop back at home as i think that that would have called the larger bass from the deep.
All in all it was one of the best fishing spots i had fished for months.
I will deff go back.
