FISHING SEASON 2K11!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Professor canceled class cause it was so nice outside and spring break starts monday. that meant it was time to go fishing.

Caught 5 fish, 2 channel cats, 1 bullhead, 1 12"yellow perch, and a 18" walleye.

Also caught a 12" crappie in the cast net, sry no pics. i guess i forgot.

anyways great day, no school and lots of fish!
 
Finally hit the water for the first time of the year! Yesterday it was pretty much just checking up on the gear and testing my new rod. Today got back out there fished for a bout 2 quick hours and landed 2! Missed a really nice 1 on the spinnerbait but got these 2 monsters! 1st and 2nd bass of the season!



 
Well after getting skunked the last few times of being on the water, I finally went to a small pond and had some fish load up my line. I caught 10 and 7 of them being dinks, but at least I got some stink on my hands. I also got to get 2 of some decent sized fish on the Verdict, and I got to say that this rod is a joy to fish with. Light, sensitive and my overall impression, is hard to put into words. Its the AWESOMEST!!!! I was throwing a KVD 1.5 in ghost minnow and this thing can rip them threw grass like a heavy action and its only a medium. Tip loads up very nicely, backbone is there when you need it. I'll post pics up later, as i'm posting on my ipad
 
Wen't fishing for baitfish today.
resulted in 20 roaches,1bream some perch and a crab.
nothing big,just small fish.
 
Fish landed-4

Havent had alot of time lately to fish but I managed 4 on this lake hopping day. Nothing big buts it beats a shunk !

I've gotten alittle lazy when it comes to shore fishing, I cant wait to get on the water !!!

I went out saturday and was able to hook up on three 2 LMB and a Crappie. All on KVD 1.5 and 2.5 cranks. Here is the biggest of the day. She came on the 2.5 ripping it out of grass. At first I thought I was hung up in a bunch of grass, gave a jerk and it didn't move :cry: damnit I don't want to lose this crank to a bunch of grass....Took up some more slack and then it popped free and started pulling....ohhhh snap, that ain't grass....She darted for deeper water and was pulling drag, thumbed it a little to control her and up she came......OHHH LAWWWWDDDDDDDDDD FISH ON!!!!!!!! A buddy of mine was more excited than I was, played her for a little while, then she flipped over on her side. Bent down to pick her up and here she is. I'm really starting to like these KVD's, they are some pretty decent cranks

Nice fish Larry !!

I brought my first KVD(2.5) when I stopped at basspro on 2/28. I havent used it but once but it feels good !
