Good grief that is a lunker! Where and what bait? I had a big male chase an xrap in Miramar but receded back to the depths after. Only one I saw there. Just assumed numbers there were limited due to consecutive cold winters. Hardly any were visible and the ones I caught were also not visible. What's the secret?

Lmb are never a challenge for me but these peacocks really seem to elude me.

that's what I said hahaha...my biggest before the "winters" was around 6 lbs...that's a very nice catch indeed...

The peacock was caught before the cold snap haven't run into any that size in a while.... He hit an xrap

The time that you came down here was also notthe best. Best time to catch peacocks is late spring/early summer... Their all over the lakes in the shallows and you sight cast to them... Very fun on fly

:iagree::iagree::iagree:

for snakeheads too...last year i couldnt stop them from taking my bait along with big arse tilipias up in coconut creek area during the spring months...breeding season starts then...

I use to catch 18" pbass allllll day long in cooper city...males and females....the lake i go to have a huge population of LMB and bluegills so the pbass were well fed all the time....now that lake has nothing but LMB and bluegills...LOL...trying to restock that lake with pbass...;)

Does it have any big largemouths...25"+?
Im in a bass tournament on another forum that ends in a couple days and the leaders bass is currently 24", and the biggest bass ive caught this month has only been like 19 -.- havent had much luck thus far this year

i doubt it...kids fish in there alot...i can give you the location if you want to go see...
