Thats not the new spot that I found but I do fish that spot frequently. Lots of flatheads and lots of bait. Also a lot of snags and very frustrating. Biggest I've caught there was 10 lbs but have been 20's and heard about a 30. New spot that I found easily beats this spot though. Next year will be a treat!
My Fishing Day really sucked,Caught 2 Pikes in 8hours.
Thats really bad for trolling in the waters I went fishing today.
Usually it's easy to catch 10+pikes in 8hours,and last time we caught 9 in just 5.
another bad thing was the amount of fishermen on the waters,we usually pass or spot about 10 other fishboats.
Most of the time your just alone in your boat surrounded by nature.
today was one of those days when everyone had decided to go fishing,we passed about 50boats,and all our favourite waters where already been checked for big pike by the time we got there.
And every fishermen we passed told us the same thing: The fishing yesterday was awesome.
Did found a brand new $15 dollar lure and saw an exotic South American Capybara(really rare in the wild).
the pikes I caught we both caught in our first fishing hour a 20incher and a nice 35incher.
Will upload pics tommorow.

i do like that spot jworth and nice smallie. we fished a spillway in Tennesee at lake reelfoot, everything gathered in the falls or nearby area to feed. Caught nice bowfin, largemouth, some crappies all day long.

We're supposed to hit the warm water discharge on my part of the susquehanna on thursday to see if anyone is alrdy hanging around in the warm waters. Everyone else catches flatheads there except for me, so well see. Snowing like **** outside, sooooo bummmmmeeeddddddd.

7 months seems like a long time to wait for flatheads 
have a baby on the way that'll be here in April that will make it even harder to get on the water.

Congrats josh, i know youll have to put fishing on the back burner for awhile but once your kid is old enough you get to take them fishing. Everyone needs a good netman!
thanks man. already have a little girl that will be 4 in february that I take bait fishing a lot. She seems to be gaining an interest. Hoping this will be a boy, but ill be happy either way if they're healthy. will know by december. still hoping I can get out a few times a month while the baby is young but it'll have to play by ear.

I did get the boat on the water yesterday. The water temp fell 11 degrees in two day do I knew that would be a problem. The moon clock said that excellent time was 3:30-5:30pm. Sure enough if it wasn't right cause we were on the water at 10:30 and I didn't land my first until 3:31, mi landed 3 more and D got one B4 we left at 5:45......
