see CF, if you would come down here to fish you wouldn't have to go hard in the snow - depending on weather and whatnot i may rent a boat on johnson sunday
went fishing at a nice size lake behind my wife's grandparents today that I rarely fish for more than bait but have caught some small channels up to 3-4 lbs and little carp before but actually made a decent effort at it for the first time today. Caught 5-6 channels, 2 bullheads and 3 carp.
2 new PB actually, but not huge ones as I never fish for these species.
19th was a two hour trip out to bakers basin where I bangd 6..........
20th I returnted back to the basin but it was died, so I hopped over to Stacy Park where I was able to land 2.......
21st I stopped at Stacy Park for 20 minutes and banged 1......
22nd Dennis and I took the boat out to Farrington. I banged 15 and D got three but he landed all of the big fish for the day......
30th we took the boat out to Assunpink after getting 5 inches of snow the day before. We were on the water at 10:30 and I didnt get a bite until 3:31. After that I banged three more and D got one before we quit at 5:30. The moon clock was right on the money cause it said excellent time was 3:30-5:30 and before that MANNN I threw everything I had at them and not even a nibble. Biggest was my 2.0 on the dot....
11-2(TODAY) I was stressing alittle so I went and picked up my new puppy and we went out to Stacy Park for 45 minutes. I was able to bang 3, two crappie and one bass....
No monsters this update but due to the trick the old timer taught me Ive been having some good numbers even when nothing is really biting....
7lb is a nice channel cat, and those carp make good channel cat bait. fillet them like a panfish (have to hack through their bones) and cut it into strips. leave the skin and scales on. Ive caught so many nice channels in the spring on it.
