octoraro lake was a bust, nice beautiful place but the catfish and bass werent biting. out of all the boats we saw and fished near only 1 guy caught a bass around 2lb or so in 5 hrs on the lake. might try to head out tuesday night, all this rain the past day or 2 might have them feeding again
This striking out is getting old! Think I will head out Tuesday or Wednesday. A guy on a catfish forum said that he saw me across the river te other night and that he caught several channels and flats while I got skunked. I think I'll try that side of the river!
aight y'all.. heading to the lunker hole for the first time in over a month in the AM, here's to hoping I can get a hook in one, going by myself so any pictures I may get will probably be crap... thinking about taking the cooler and fishing for crappie a little bit while im out there
fail fail fail fail fail...... didnt land anything over a pound, but let me tell you.... somethin rolled on my bait and all i saw was 24"+ of a silver green body not counting the head or tail... if it was a bass it was easily 13-14lbs+ but theres no tellin what it was... and ill probably never know :'( - in my mind all i can see is it being a 16lb state record bass i almost cried when i saw it roll right at the shore and not bite....
anyways as far as fish i know what they are, caught about 7 crappie and a couple itttty bitty like 7-8" bass. kept a couple crappie for lunch

Went to a private pond and caught some bass and green sunfish but nothing big just small ones. Also went fishing in the creek behind my house and caught a drum or two 6 channels from four to 17 inches and some bullhead one of them was prob three quater pounds also quite a few bluegills
