FISHING SEASON 2K12!!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
@shipoffools you got lucky... i had got a BPS extreme and that thing was a POS... the magnetic brakes were faulty though i think i just got a dud.

The first thing I asked the guy was which one does he see returned the least. The extreme model has been updated a little bit he said, maybe the
Magnetic breaks were part of that. Either way, I'm keeping my receipts, but bass pro will take almost anything back and replace it. Especially BPS branded stuff.

My dad came down so of course we had to wet a line.

We took the yaks out in the flat calm Gulf. It was too calm to begin with thanks to the slight North breeze.

After a couple of hours of trolling in the still water with no luck we decided to pull the yaks back up on the beach and hit the local beach bar for lunch. I knew the wind was suppose to kick up after noon and swing out of the South which should turn on the fish.

Just as predicted the wind picked up putting a nice chop on the water just as we were finishing up our lunch.

We head back out and put lines in at the color change and BAM fish on before I could even get a good troll started. It was a decent eight pound king. Reset the lines and about twenty minutes later I landed my second king which was just a hair larger.

My dad is a novice yakker and novice fisherman so we was getting whipped by the wind pretty good and wanted to turn back in and hang out on the beach. I really wanted him to get a fish so I told him to just troll until the last sand bar. As he got back over the color change he reel starts screaming. With a little coaching he pulls up his first yak fish, a nice king mackerel. I got a couple good action shots of the battle.

With just three back to back kings it wasnt the most productive day but we got the yaks bloody none the less. With cloudy skies tomorrow and a South wind thats going to blow throw the night and into tomorrow we should have a great bite.
