FISHING SEASON 2K12!!!!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
sorry to hear that dreams. ive missed seeing your updates bc i sure dont have any!! water is too low and stagnant and i cant convince any flatheads to bite right now. Ill post a pic of a new spot I tried this past weekend. 50 pounders have come from there and it looks awesome, but no bites on bullheads and one missed run on a sunfish. felt like a little channel as it was pulling my sunfish.

Update: Pig of the year. I didn't get a measurement on this guy but I really should have just ran to my parents place for a tape measure because this guy was a beast. Over 20 inches long I'm sure. Guess we'll never know for certain. The biggest on my line this year. Largemouth bass on a SPRO frog.

Sweet !!!

Todays fishing really sucked,we had 14strikes but no catches so far.
I missed an absolute monsterpike! it was between 4 en 5ft and probably closer to 5 then 4.
Fighting took me half an hour and this beast was so big that it did not fit in the net. the same fishing net that I could easily use to grab my 43incher last year.
The second time we tried to grab the fish with the net one of the trebles got stuck in the net,the pike flipped and managed to get out of the net breaking the rings attached to my trebles.
Those rings are 80lbs tested!
I was devastated but shortly after I hooked another monster around 3ft,This one also managed to escape when we where trying to grab him with the net.
I feel horrible right now,but i've caught some baitfish and I wil headout to see I'f one of these monsters is interested in a snack tonight!
I really hope I'll get another shot at that beast.

Thanks guys. Topwater is where its at!

That's sucks man, but you will get him next time. I know that gut feeling you are talking about... I hate it, lol. I would have loved to have seen a 50+ inch pike! Trophy for sure!

Hi guys,

some nice catches !
This season is not very good for me, due to abroad working issues and lot sof family stuff i do not have the time to go out fishing.
Just very few trout and roach so far.

The biggest catch was a 200 pound homo sapiens

A few weeks later I had a small pike with a strange mouth:

Flemming that sucks you didnt get a picture, but if it was in the net than I would count that as a quick release! Sorry to hear luck isnt exactly on your side but it doesnt sound so bad.

@ Josh The fish was so big it did not even fit in our net!
We went out to the spot again tonight to fish with baitfish but luck wasn't on our side.
The monsterpike did show up once again at the surface while we where drifting in our boat,It came right at us and our fishfinder estimated the beast at 1.6m(5ft+). This is probably wrong because that would almost make a world record but you get the idea.
I'm stil devastated by the escape of this beast and where already making up plans to headout multiple times next week.
This fish is probably close to the dutch record pike at 58inch and maybe even bigger.
I'm telling ya, I've seen pike in my life at 40inch,45inch and 50inch but those fish where nothing compared to what I hooked today.
Our fishnet has a diameter of 32inch,it could easily manage my 43incher last year but when we put the net underneath this fish and lifted it up the head and about 12inch of the tail was still sticking out the net. My friend was scared by the size and he first thought we hooked a crocodile.
It was just that big.
and about half an hour later when my bud and were talking about that the fish probably wasn't that big,we must have looked wrong we hook a smaller 3ft pike and all we can say to each other while battling this fish was that it's way smaller then the one we just missed.
We were so devasted we didn't even care that we missed this 3ft pike.

Today just totally sucked, probably never going to hook a pike of that size in my life ever again....
But one thing is for sure,I'm buying a bigger net and I really hope this pike is territorial and he stays in the area so we manage to hook him again.
