yeah but a lot of times with my brother im busy trying to keep my nephews lines untangled and unhooking fish and like i said the retired buddy only goes offshore when weather is perfect and the other buddy rarely bottom fishes

I dont know, if I was going to south Florida I would have to be on the East Coast. I like offshore fishing and Tampa just doesnt offer that. Off of Pompano Beach you have guys in yaks catching sails, wahoo, big AJs, big dolphin and blackfin tuna on the regular because you are in 600ft a couple of miles out! Here youre only in 60-80ft that far and down in Tampa youre in what...40ft? Plus they still have the Tarpon and snook inshore as well as all of the exotics in the freshwater canals!
Well, now that the year has just about come to an end, I can say that this year was amazing for fishing! Caught a lot of firsts and personal records in the past twelve months.
My first muskie, measured at 34"
All these muskies were caught on the same day, and I also caught my personal best muskie at 38" that day!
Also caught my first Pickerel on rod and reel, I've caught them through the ice but not during the summer.

Lastly, I purchased a little 14' Aluminum boat for next year, I'll be getting my driver's license in January. My dad and I have been working on it as our winter project
I have an 8 hp Evinrude and a 55 lb thrust Minn Kota on the back of it. So far we've floored and carpeted it and we just finished painting it, can't wait to use it this spring!

Tarpon snook dolphins sharks barracudas you name it next week I'm kayaking for bill fish.

No fishing for me today on the pond
Playing some pond hockey today though. Cleared out a rink with my little brother to skate on the pond. Its about 3" thick just enough for us to be on. I might go fishing on the other side of the pond in a little bit though
