Well you could start by releasing some of the fish you catch. Trout outta the freezer taste like crap compared to fresh ones. Im pretty sure that many in your freezer isnt legal either. Just a tip. Maybe the other fish will re-pay you once you learn to catch and release. That keep rate is sad and doesnt show good sportsmanship.

Pretty sure he's allowed only a two day limit in possession. 15 trout in one outing..........how may anglers?
yes, trout taste like dick after being frozen.

Didn't realize your a park ranger- HA. And for one the trout in the freezer are for my caiman so I can care less about taste. I only keep the ones that won't make it due to removing the hook because of the rig I use. Trust me I have released plenty back it wouldn't make since not keeping the fish if its just gunna die.

Don't fret gangster, I release more than enough to make up for what he and probably several other people keep on average. In the past 4 years I've only kept 1 crappie and 13 Large Mouth bass. I catch upwards of 20-30 a month ( I re-line 4 rods monthly, and I go through nearly a grand in gear per year). I've killed 3 bass due to swallowing the hook in the past year, unfortunately with no way of transporting them to eat. One of them flopping in the water gave me a treat though. Saw a bald eagle swoop down and grab it and fly off. A bald eagle 20 feet from me, with roughly a 5 foot wingspan. Safe to say I stopped fishing and my jaw fell off.

I only keep what I foul hook because they will die either or and I keep fish look good in my tanks and invasive s I either give away or turn to chum I feed a lot poor homeless people

Not the point. If all fished like that it would leave none for the rest. How about the kids? Its just poor sportsmanship regaurdless of reason. SOme of those farm raised trout will hang around a bit and get big. Show some respect to your fishery and keep only your limit. That'd be a hefty fine.

Blindkiller I too release about 99% of my fish if not more. I keep only what Im gonna eat that day. Good to see some other fellow anglers out there practicing catch and release.

RBP it doesnt matter what you are keeping your fish for. That is just poor angling practices. Maybe switch up your rig so that you dont have to kill so many. Or once your limit is caught you should pack it up and go home. Our fisheries need to be treated w/ respect. NOt neglect.

lets chill out on the assumptions and get out of the C&R debate. I release all the largemouth bass and 99% of all freshwater fish that I catch, but if i lived in an area that stocked trout regularly yes i would keep my limit or close to it. its not like he's raiding a wild resevoir for a ton of em, thats like me going to the beach and catching 15 bluefish in the 1-2lb range and being told I'm hurting a population. get this thing back to the fishing at hand
