I use squarebills mostly spooks,spinnerbaits mostly anything that is fast pace but I really need to slow down and start throwing soft plastics

I use a ton of baits. All the time. Spinners, top and medium rapala lures, soft plastics (love the magnum speed worms), flukes, small plastic swimbaits, and shiners.

Thanks! Now I just gotta catch a big one.. lol. Crappiekeeper on here caught a 40lb+ out of the same spot and over the past couple years a good number of 20-40# class fish have been caught there

Haven't been fishing much because of my grandpa in the hospital but here lately he has been sound asleep so I went to the creek today.

I missed a VERY nice smallie, she came up ever so slow, mouthed the lure and then gently let go and left a large boil behind her. I tried several more times to get another try at her but I didn't see her. I did catch 1 KY, missed several other KY and Smallmouth but they were more interested in eating the fry, etc. from the spawning Longear's. I did manage to catch a large pair for my 55.
