Well ive been out 6 times this year since march and have been skunked city until today. Finally hit up the local river instead of the creek ive been going to. Nothing huge but a good evening for ohio.

By far my favorite specimen to fish for. I also fish for flatties but i only seem to get one or two a year. lots of channel cats tho. Still waiting for a local muskie aswell. How far south are you? Its worth taking a trip to canada or a pay lake where these fish are everywhere. They seem to be overpopulating my area over the last 10 years and i really enjoy it .
Looks can be decieving lol....I live in an old steel town (youngstown, ohio) so copious amounts of toxic waste have been pumped into this poor Mahoning river since the 40's-50's. Its full of mercury as are the fish and sadly its extremly polluted with trash. Good thing is people dont believe there are any fish in it and report they are deformed with sores and 3eyes hah. 10-15 yrs ago i would catch channel cats with skin sores/lesions but its really starting to clean up now. As you can see from the pictures the fish look extremly healthy and well fed. Nice to know fish populations can go through hell and still come back strong.
I'm in davie florida far south part 1 hr from the keys I was born in Montreal so I've heard story's of musky just never know about pike they look though i really want head up there for a session
Lost 2 nice 18"+ Pickerel so far, both as I was staring in their gaping toothy mouths reaching out to grab them lol..time for a net I think.. There is a nice lake nearby which I hope will provide me with the opportunity of uploading some pics of walleye and pike, but for now here's a little calico happy fishing!
