Can Anyone give me tips on catching fish other than trout! I prolly have enough trout in my freezer to last a year! I fish at cherry creek reservoir here in Denver from the shore and I'm wanting to catch something other than trout. Thanks guys

Nice! My tip would be to move around a lot and throw out any lures you have, swap it up a bit

Finally back on the forum but really just trying to stick to fishing topics but anyways ive had a good season so far with about 20 bass, 50 panfish, and a good amount of catfish around 10. Anyways I got a new phone and now I can go back on mfk nothing big so far only a decent sized bullhead but nothing even approaching 2 or even 3 pounds. Only fish I caught over 2-3 pounds was an 8 pound carp that broke my mitchell when he went under a bridge I managed to reel him in. Just got a new phone so only pictures I have are of sunnies I caught yesterday. Thought id throw them out there for you guys to see. Hows everyone elses seasons going?

NC, that is similar to a small lowhead dam that I fish over here. How deep is it under the falls? Throw some live bait out there and hold on tight. Spring is usually the time they head upstream and congregate in front of dams on their annual spawning migration.
at that point it was only probably 6' deep but like i said there have been some BIG cats come out of that little stretch of creek.. right now after all the rain today and what we're gonna get tomorrow the spot I was standing at very well may be 10 feet underwater haha. like I said i'm almost positive i lost a nice 10lb+ flathead on a green sunfish.. The fish held tight to the bottom and by the time I got him out of the rocks somehow the hook pulled. very powerful, definitely not a bowfin based on how the fish pulled. looking forward to catching one 
Well you could start by releasing some of the fish you catch. Trout outta the freezer taste like crap compared to fresh ones. Im pretty sure that many in your freezer isnt legal either. Just a tip. Maybe the other fish will re-pay you once you learn to catch and release. That keep rate is sad and doesnt show good sportsmanship.
