My local creek is getting stocked on March 3rd so expect to see some fly fishing pictures soon!

Off too a late start getting my licence tomorrow Gunnar be out almost everyday but dont really have a camera I might jut have to borrow my sisters haha but nice catches everyone hope I beat my pb of 2013 this year of 8.5 pounds hope everyone has a great year!

I think I missed out yesterday as I had a very very large bass spit the hook as I was about to net it. Don't know what happened, fought it spinning both ways and around a few lillies for it to just come out. It looked to be bigger than the 9 1/2 lb bass I have stuffed and made the 3 1/2 lb bass I did catch 30 minutes later look and feel tiny as far as the fight went. Didn't take a pic of it because I was and am still mad as can be. 16 years of fishing for bass and still haven't broken the double digit mark.

And no, I wouldn't have stuffed this fish because of the season. Would've taken measurements and pictures and had a replica made instead and released it.
 
sorry to hear that blind. mostly because the same thing happened to me today. had a 10+ EASY spit the jig in my face. I got my first 10# end of 2012 woulda been nice to get #2... ugh
 
16 years coming up in april for me bass fishing, started with my grandfather. He was lucky enough in his 20 +/- bass fishing years to get 2 bass that were above the 10 lb mark. And that's saying something because he fished kentucky, indiana and illinois.

Went again and had my line knot pop on a decent fish, rough guess 3-5lb. Guess I tied a bad palomar?

I'm ready to get M80's and go fishing in this lake now and spend money restocking lmao.
 
I understand the frustration I've already lost two biiiiiiig bass this year. the one today and another that felt 7-8+.. both on a jig and both with a failed hookup. Freak accidents ;\. I'm half tempted to go fish bluegill under a float! lol
