Fished Lake Erie from Saturday morning until about 3 today and totaled up at 78 fish for the weekend.

On Saturday I caught a bunch of pumpkinseeds and bluegills, two yellow perch, several Warmouths, and 9 monster LMBs.

Sunday we caught the most: bluegills, pumpkinseeds, Warmouths, a perch, a gold shiner, and two nice black crappie.

Today (Monday) we caught the least but one fish made it the best day: caught a Warmouth, a 1' SMB, a few nice yellow perch, some white bass (or white perch, please ID them if you know), and my personal biggest fish I've ever landed: a 26 inch, 8 pound walleye that fought for about 10 minutes. Had a video of the walleye but somehow either we didn't press the right button to record or it got deleted.

nice walleye, we couldnt get any eyes trolling the detroit river with the white bass spawn going crazy, my little cousin has able to get some white bass on colored lead jig alone with no twisties, that's how hard they were biting, also switched to a 5 inch floating rap and still was catching them buggers

Saturday was opening day of red snapper season for us. I took a guys beautiful 31' 2014 Cape Horn with twin 300s out so he could catch his first red snapper. We did well, but Destin Harbor and the pass was a MAD HOUSE!

Sunday I took off and I ran a trip today from the kayak. My client did great, he got his two red snapper and then some as well as a couple bonus monster mangrove snapper, five king mackerel, a little peanut dolphin and a 30" cobia! He kept me busy and I didnt even wet a line!

Got a double tomorrow and trips the rest of the week! Snapper season is BUSY for me!!

its just the angle of the pic JD, made the head look real big. we hooked up the pair at the same time, this pic shows better - I WISH I'd caught the bull haha but the cow was actually bigger so it all works out... :) my buddy on the right is holding the bull from the pair

If the weather holds Saturday Im going to Captain my first solo blue water trip. Pretty excited!

yeah was a bit strange but no complaints here, of course she hit the 20lb tackle instead of the 30 wide.... haha

- hope the weather holds for you man, solo blue water trip is definitely a milestone... i'll be down saturday cleaning fish for Military appreciation day morehead city and sunday hopefully doing some nearshore playing around with a chance of flounder and spanish... if i'm lucky maybe the man in the brown suit will rear his ugly head ;)
