Got access to a private lake recently. Got this huge crappie and constant bass action all are around 1.5-2lbs but I've never caught so many bass. Also got a catfish with a senko that snapped 12lb test when I tried lifting it into the boat. It should be a great fall fishing season. ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1408929240.054251.jpg

Went out for channels on the allegheny for the first time since June and of course no cats at all this time -_-. Slow fishing, caught a 20" 5 pound smallmouth bufallo and a 4 pound soft shelled turtle by accident. Don't no why the cats never bite for me.

What were you using for bait? Where in PA are you? You should come down to MD...plenty of cats here.

Nightcrawlers, the rock bass that are normally always biting there weren't biting either so I couldn't get any to use as bait which is normally what I catch flatheads on. By pittsburgh.

Chicken livers, or some cut up fish will work. I cut up fish nd let them sit in the sun or let them sit in some chicken liver blood....we were literally hooking them not even 30 seconds after they hit the water. We'd cast out, go to sit one rod in the holder and by the time we got it to the holder, it was fish on.
Conowingo Dam is a wonderful place!

Here are some catches this summer! All in the Boston & Cape Area, Gets bigger and bigger. 37", 40", 44" Striped bass
