If its 40 - 50's you gotta go out and catch some pike haha :D

Never caught a pike in my life, none of my fishing buddies target them and every time I've tried I've never got one, which has been about 6-10 occasions. Any tips would be welcome though as I'd love to catch one!

Pike are pretty easy.. steel leader, big hooks and bait fish. Cast near some weeds or similar hides. And even if you don't get one you might still Hit a big catfish:D

Dude any questions you just ask. Whats the size and depth of the place you have tryed? What kind of lures where you using
Reason you havent had any succes might be because the time of year? What was the temperature? 40 - 50 ferenheit should be good.

Most of the time I was trying in presque isle bay in Lake Erie which is fairly big and I was fishing a depth of 4 to 8-10ish feet with large spoons, crankbaits, and big mepps aglias.

I mean if theres a good population of pikes, you seem to be doing the right thing. I really like softbaits too. Spinners are very good lures usually. The bigger the lure, the bigger the average size your gonna have (Usually, some waters where the fish mainly are living off small baitfish). What was the temperature?

Heres a pic of a pike i caught last time i was out, biggest of 2015 for me, been out 3 times so im pretty happy with how its going.

80cm/31,5 inches. 5kg/11,1 pounds.

NC, tried to pm you. Shoot me a Facebook request. I don't really get on here anymore and keep up with my fishing buddies that way.
