Fishing season for 2017

I took the kayak for the first time Friday and caught a slab of a largemouth lol. This was probably the best cast considering that this is the first time I've seen largemouth in this particular river. Ive caught 2 in separate locations (miles apart) so either there's a population of them in the river now or I found the 2 that some guy threw into the wrong river lol.
Some of my better fish from western Lake Ontario this weekend.
Went to Destin, Florida for vacation and caught a bunch of blue crabs, speckled crabs and these. Made ourselves some sushi.
Haven't been on in a while cause of working up in Alaska and breaking my hand but stuck some big girls. Learned that 100lbers can break bones very easy. Halibut on the left was 150lbs and right was 180lbs.
They are awesome tasting as long as you bleed them properly and cut the fat off them. The brown fat on them gives a undesirable taste when cooked.
