Never hit your fish with a paddle. If your tank is big enough to canoe in, I salute you.

i catch them alot! to me the are the uglyist fish i ever seen when the get huge! my friend went with my fish(new to fishing still) he caught a 13-15lbs 32inch common dum. they fight really hard like monster blue gills! (Uglyist fish i swear! ) they only look pretty when the water is cold and they turn sliver like shiners and have a pearl pink color to them. I kept a few before just to keep it alive for dinner som other day. the poop alot. and lose there pink color in a tank. They don't taste all that good but i ate Red Drum fish before and i can tell you, Red drum taste alot better. but you can only get Red Drum fish from the south end of the us. but i have had a very rare case of catching red drum in a lake in around my city. Like once a year. I guess sombody decided to put them their, because they aren't listed on our fishing guides.

There garbage fish, we catch them all the time while walleye fishing the in the detroit river, the only thing there good for is to see how far you can throw them from the boat.

i call em sheep heads.crack open there heads and they have a white rock it it.i did it once when i cought a big one and by the time i got him to the boat he was almost dead.his gills were gushing out blood.

You DID NOT catch a red drum, aka red fish in Ohio! Im from the Gulf Coast and have caught and eaten my fair share of red fish. You are right, they taste wonderful, especially blackened. However, they are a SALTWATER fish! They do occasionally venture up into river mouths, but there is no way theyd live in Ohio!!

:( What a shame, you sound like a class act.

I have caught freshwater drum before, I like them. I don't eat fish so I don't care what I catch and don't know how they taste. Drum are fun and I find them interesting. If I had a tank large enough I would try to keep one.

Check out this one.
