well here is a little teaser of my 125. i been outta the game for a few years and decided to come back strong.. i failed to find a big tank at a good deal. so i decided to stay with my 125 but set up the filtration kick ass..(at least to me) on to the pics...i also will have a freshwater line tapped directly into my sump for top offs.......pics are takin from my droid so pic quality is meh.....

what do you think for my first hard line plumbing?

125g aqueon glass with dual megaflows aka reefready

the filtration starts from the tank to a sea clear wet dry. then into a little giant pump, then goes through my lifegard mechanical module(double), then gets heated through my ehiem jager 300w heater via lifegard heater module (double) those doubles bearly fit under that tank. after the heater it goes through my 36w oddysea uv and back into the tank. i put unions at each module so i can remove/maintain each module. (mech/heater/uv/pump)

Wow i wish i could setup something like that maybe when i get a house i will lol. It looks killer none the less what kind of turn over are you gonna see on something like that ?

thanks guys! im pretty happy on how it came out.. i just filled it and tested it. its ready to move fill and run..

im not sure what that pump will turn over but i just read that my pump isnt made for head pressure filteration. so im going to look for a new less noisy pump.


i have my 09 r6 back there and the wifes 08 ninja 250.. and behind the tank is my make shift 80g........ bearly had enough room for this projekt....

Haha that's the same thing I did. My 125 has been empty for about 5 years. I built what I think is a pretty sweet filter setup, much cooler than the UG filter I had and just started adding fish. Yours looks very nice!

I really like the set up. It is nice to c some one on here use those life guard set ups. They are cheap for how good they are. Everything is inline and there will be nothing in the tank. And is a you said a kick ass filter system. U really cant get much better the that tank good job. And makes you feel so much better to put in the hard work of plumbing it instead of just throwing a fx5 on it like every one else.

^ word. Wanted a projket. But now im done now what? I still have my old 125....i want to do a planted with a diy filter. But yea everyone has fx5. I wanted to save on electricity and run everything inline. Using the pump anywayz.and clean up the tank. Visually. Found the heater module and mechanical new for 125.At Dr foster smith dre. Jk on the dre. Thankz guyz for the kind words.

No one else use the lifegard modules?
