Fit for LIFE in a 60G

I like the looks of the salvini, the site I looked them up on stated that minimum tank length was a whooping 6.5 feet though.
However they are bigger than Dempseys, why would they work better than a pair of JDs?
My LFS said a pair of Dempseys would do nicely in a tank that sized.

They're about the same size, maybe even a tad smaller than JDs in my experience. 6.5 feet is ridiculous. I wouldn't have any issues at all keeping a pair in a 4' tank. Don't keep anything else with them (a pair) though.... or it will definitely get pulverized.

I really don't like the dovii so a grammodes isn't that tempting :S is this weird?
Just looked up the Lynosi, they looked nice, and they stay somewhat small in comparison to the others.
I have some options to research now at least!

It says the same for JDs. Would a single male GT be happy in that tank? If not then it's probably a pair of Lyonsi/Salvini/JDs.

That is a nice sized tank for a single wet pet. Its plenty big to house a single green terror. Dont know why people have it in their heads the tank has to be 48" or it wont work. That one is only shy a couple of inches and is pretty close to a 75g in footprint that I would have no issue raising something solo in it. If it were a pair then I might reconsider.

Since I really want to try my hand at breeding a single GT isn't doing it for me. A pair of JD's are the most interesting option at the moment.
I might reconsider and get a single GT for the tank.

A pair of Super Green Texas (Herichthys carpintis var. Escondido or Vontehillo). ;D

I'd have no problem with a pair of GT's in there. Just make sure there's a good amount of driftwood/caves/hiding places/line of sight breaks.

That Is a great home for a gt. They usually get around 8". As a community fish tho a gt is a hit or miss. A jd would work or firemouths and there are like 4 different kinds. Blue acara yellow acara any acara. Any fish really that Max 12"
