Fit for LIFE in a 60G

Would Texas cichlids work? Or is it just that specific strain?
I think I might actually try a GT pair for this setup, of course I'll have to get a divider. If it fails miserably I'll try again with JD's.
As stated earlier it's the mating/courting behaviour I want to see in the tank.

Super Green Texans isn't a strain of texas (Herichthys cyanoguttatum), they're a strain of green texas (Herichthys carpintis). But yes, either texas or green texas would work fine, I just didn't suggest either in general because I think texans are ugly creatures, green texans look so much more amazing, and if one's going for a green texan, might as well go for the best looking variety.

But yes, a pair of texas would work just as fine.

Did some research and it's decided. Green Texas (Herichthys carpintis) it is. I love the colors on them and they are not very big compared to most species that were recommended. As soon as I get everything up and running I'll order some juvies from my LFS.

You can do a green terror pair males get 8 inches good conditions they can get a foot but very rare I would do jacks yes you cam fit them but it still would be a little cramped probally wouldn't be very happy

Mhm, Super Green Texas are just the variety of Green Texans that have better colors. They are usually the Escondido or Vontehillo strain because they have much, much bigger pearlings than some other strains, and therefore the blue/green shows a lot more clearly, which gives them a better color than most other strains.
