Should I euthanize it or what should I do? FYI mods I posted in another section as well but this is a severe emergency.

Damn bro that’s bad what happened. It’ll be fine I have a tank full of one eyed fish I rescued just add salt and it’ll heal in a few weeks they’ll adapt to being partial blind

Something similar happened to my male flowerhorn during breeding the female bit out right eye just like yours and he’s fine today

To be honest I never really measure but I’d throw 2 handful of salt in the tank maybe a tad bit less
So here's the story I rescued the Florida gar and a large goldfish today from someone who's tank broke. No I know these are odd tank mates but this is what I rescued. I move the Goldfish to a cold water tank. The Florida gar went into a existing quarantine tank I have with a 3 inch Texas cichlid in the 6 in monster mean flowerhorn. I noticed the flowerhorn right away didn't like the gar but I didn't expect this aggressive behavior. Lesson Beyond learned. I moved the flowerhorn to a 10 gallon tank that I used to keep minnows in.

I was really considering putting the Florida gar in my 125 gallon with my wolf fish but I didn't want to risk any diseases because this fish was in very bad shape. I guess it makes sense that it let the flowerhorn pick on it.

Lol I have a massive goldfish in my tank bro it’s a weird predator tank with a surviving feeder lol. I’d just leave the gar in the tank keep the water clean as possible. If you have Prime I’d add a capful for good luck. Keep water oxygenated. I wouldn’t bother feeding for the next few days unless he shows signs he’s hungry well then that case problem solved

That was the same exact story with this owner why rescue to go fishing Florida gar from. The feeder fish that grew up to be massive and they became friends. Goldfish with living in a small tub in the water quality is really bad. Thanks I'll go grab the prime right now and some aquarium salt
