Florida or Alligator Gar?

yea gator, theyre cooler than florida gars so good get man.
 
alligator gar, nice pick up. be prepared, they will take a bite out of anythiing, teeth are no joke. I had one try and take down a 16in silver arowanna twice his size.

I presume you has a several thousand gallon swamp prepared for this guy? And the 90g is a quarantine? I used to buy any fish that looked cool to me, so in my early fishkeeping days i got a 3" oscar and put him in an uncycled 12g and he lasted around a month. So before you buy stuff make sure you know what it is. Good luck and nice (big) fish.

i agree that one needs to be responsible when purchasing fish, but at the same time it's ridiculous statements like these (see red highlight) that make all the gator gar threads turn asinine really quickly.--

I don't have a several thousand gallon swamp and I have kept my happy and healthy Alligator Gar for 2 years now :headbang2


He has been though a number of tanks though in his lifetime :)
