HMMMM how big is he now and what size tank is it in now?
I have to pipe in and say the word everyone is thinking about when it comes to a gator in less than a huge living space STUNTED.
If one is to get a gator they best make plans for a very large tank.

I Was Told By The Pet Store Someone Dumped Him At That He Was A Florida Gar, But After Seeing The Picture On This Forum, They Are Wrong.
