Actually I didn't, 1500 for a pair of gar is a bit high but still reasonable. A M/F pair of big endli will set you back more than that. You want tankbusters in Oz you gotta be serious about keeping fish and prepared to pay. Sometimes they come cheaper, lowest price I've seen for floridas is 300 @ 15cm. Dats will cost you 300+ @5cm, bichirs start at about 200 for senegals etc etc etc. And that's assuming you can even source them in the first place.

I know how it compares to overseas, I lived in Vancouver for 18months.

Dang thats expensive. I got my gars for 15$ each, they were both 15 cm. But then again, fish in the UAE are sold in poor conditions.

i see u live in uae too, im from dubai..i dont think you have been to the right fish shops as yet...there are some shops that will blow ur mind away..seriously they will
