Don't think you need one in NSW, it's a QLD thing
As far as I can see, the only banned gars in NSW are Atractosteus spp. excluding A. spatula (gator gar). Given that the only gars in Oz are long nosed, florida and gators its a pointless ban. QLD on the other hand went whole hog and banned all Lepisosteidae. Permits could only be applied for prior to August 2009.Send them to Sydney? Not a chance
Besides, Sydney is where they all come from, more exotics than anywhere in Oz.
