Flouride in the tap water

African Cichlids will actually benefit from fluoride in the water as East Africa has very high levels of naturally occurring fluoride in the groundwater.

I traveled to Kenya many years ago and was surprised to see toothpaste advertising that it is "without fluoride". The drawback to excessive fluoride exposure is fluorosis (white spots on the tooth enamel).

you will die if you injest 3 grams of flouride can you tell me anythiing in your household that is more toxic then that? Liquid draino?

There are plenty of things will kill you if you eat two pounds of it in your house. Water will kill you if you drink too much of it.

The OP was worried about his fish. As the son of a dentist and the husband of a dental hygienist I can't help but worry about people's teeth. You seem to be searching for things to worry about that just aren't there. Relax...

Its in tooth paste to medicate you i didnt say your going to die from it.

Of course the amount in toothpaste isnt lethal nor is the amount in the 6 glasses of water your going to drink daily its just a fraction of a fraction to *** you up and dum you down over time

Tap water has about 0.2 mg of fluoride in every 8 ounces. This is about the same that most bottled water has also. Since alot of bottled water comes from the tap.

If i put the same amount of liquid draino which is about as lethal in your water and toothpaste as they do flouride would you still use drink it or use it?

Just understand its orgins its was started as a method of control. Not for dental hygine
