IF you ever are going to add anything when you plop him in that big tank would be the time..... I could never dedicate a tank that size to 1 fish. I'd definitely try some stuff, let him sort it out. I don't think they are quite as fierce as everyone leads on - towards fish and stuff in the tank anyways....

I'd definitely have some heavy duty filtration on it regardless of bio load just cause of the stuff I'd feed it.... I'd give it live treats that I know would result in terrible messes..... lol.

I'm very curious how big and how fast it will grow. Mine have been tempermental feeders but always kept with other stuff, can tell they seem to have swings in how much they eat. Seem to eat much better when they are king...

Very excited and very happy for you man! Can't wait to see the progress....

I am used to keep solitary fish as I kept a single rhom for 17 years. I have really debated giving him tank mates, but he really swims over the whole 180g right now. He gets 20 massivore pelits a day and wants more. He goes nuts when when I give silversides or filet.

I have heard they do better when solitary, so I am really curious to see how big and quick I can grow him as a solitary. I do want to add small schooling fish at some point.
