Zooming in on one of your pics, I can make out a point which is indicative of it being a male...along with its pointed fins, I say male.

I'm convinced this fish just doesn't like new life spectrum. It eats sinking jumbo pellets that I have and some other floating pellets but won't touch NLS. Neither of the things it does eat are food quality so I'm gonna have to get something new.

BTW, there's an easier way to divide up you tank and probably cheaper too. Order some of these with suction cups...acrylic or glass slides right in and you'll have to pry it open to slide in the egg crate.
