Zooming in on one of your pics, I can make out a point which is indicative of it being a male...along with its pointed fins, I say male.

I've really enjoyed this fish tho and I think I would keep it if it's male or female

I'm convinced this fish just doesn't like new life spectrum. It eats sinking jumbo pellets that I have and some other floating pellets but won't touch NLS. Neither of the things it does eat are food quality so I'm gonna have to get something new.

Getting anxious to find out for sure what it is. Don't know if I'm ready to give a female its own 75 tho. From my research and limited knowledge I'm thinking female

It's still a male fish right lol. I've enjoyed him a lot so far. Super active and he always swims up to where I am. Hard to tell in the pics but putting on some size too.

That vent does look awfully thick...how about a clear shot of the vent if you would.

BTW, there's an easier way to divide up you tank and probably cheaper too. Order some of these with suction cups...acrylic or glass slides right in and you'll have to pry it open to slide in the egg crate.
