Hi I'm new here, but I've kept various fish for years. I bought what I was told was a male FH from my LFS at one inch. It was a drab dark brown/grey with even darker stripes. I have had it for 5 month and it is now 4 inch by zero colour change. The only time I can see the tiniest bit of colour is when it is illuminated by a shaft of very bright sunlight. Will it develop colour or have they sold me a very poor FH or worse still not an FH at all ? Thanks in advance for any help ?

Sorry for the poor quality photo he's very hard to catch still. In a shaft of light I can see faint colour, maybe a very faint pinkish underside and greenish blue around the spots but unless aided by a shaft from heaven you'd be forgiven for thinking he had no colour at all.
