Flower/Tiger "Hardiness"

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've found so far that leos are the nippiest of rays (never owned a boesami) and are the worse to house with flowers and tigers. This is not a combination I would recommend unless you had your flower or tiger past the 24" mark at the least.

I have a flower ray... I've had it for over 3 weeks, and it's on the verge of dying because it refuses to eat anything.

I also keep motoros, and I have no issues with them.

Whatever happens with this ray will be a learning tool for me, as I am doing everything I can to get him to start eating.

Would I ever get another flower ray? Probably not. Unless this one can drastically change my mind.

i lost my flower this year had it for two years stayed skinny and would only eat earthworms, blk worms and rosy reds. a nice flower is my favorite Darin a former MFK had a awsome flower another nice flower was Flyingsuacer i think that was his user name. i will try one again but next time i will prob wait for the right deal someone trying to get rid of out of personal collection.

With flowers and tigers you pretty much need to do everything right off the start or it makes for a very hard recovery after. I've read they loose a good percentage of these rays before they even go out for export so I'm guessing alot must die before we get one and then most of them die after we get them. Species tanks are advisable.

The thought I remember reading on a sight from across seas says Boes are particullarly mean. Most aggressive Pot. species?

this one only cares about one thing joey knows what i mean lol!!!

shes been pretty nice so far only wants fish and shrimp

i think you can keep any rays with tigers or flowers just depends on the ray i guess! this boesemani will not be with these two much longer, the boesemani had very unexpected surprise for me when i got her she needs a break before i put her in my big tank.i have been watching one of the large males going nuts over other females cant risk it with her just yet but for now she is being very nice to the flower and tiger even during feedings
