thanks
the flowerhorn is 7 inches wide and today i realized it stopped pooing all day long. But it still doesn't have any appetitie, ok i'll take note of his condition and maybe this is just some natural shedding of his internal whatever. By the wway, what are the symptoms of hexamita?

Hexa symptom include: Stringy white poo and eventually a sunken belly..
If you think he may be constipated, treat him with epsom salts (magnesium sulphate)
If its hexa you will need to treat him with metronidazole..

What is a sunken belly?

Today i observed that my flowerhorn's belly was bloated up again even though he hasn't eaten for 3 days, is that a sunken body? And sadly, he still doesn't have an appetite to eat anything :(

I've got a flowehorn with the exact same problem....white stringy poop...stopped eating...but mine doesn't have a swollen belly....It just hangs around the corner of the tank....it keeps opening its mouth wide and shaking around....I'm gonna buy and try using SEACHEM METRONIDAZOLE.... for now all I have is PIMAFIX

Phew, just glad to hear that there's a possibilty it isn't hexamita :)

Sadly, its appetite still isn't good, and its stringy poop is getting blobby. Ok, so I'll try Epsom Salts first, and hope it works :)

I think the cart is getting put way ahead of the horse here. 1st of all-you said you'd just moved him into a different tank with new filters. It doesn't sound like the new tank is cycled and that's probably your problem right there. Before you start thinking it's hex or parasites & throwing meds in the tank you need to get a liquid test kit and find out what your ammonia, nitrite and nitrate readings are. He's probably sick from an uncycled tank. Also-he needs a LOT more than just freeze dried bloodworms in his diet.

So what do you suggest a proper flowerhorn diet should consist of?

But the flowerhorn really seems like a case of hexamita because i have tried some Epsom salts which DON'T work! It has been a day and the flowerhorn still has a bloated stomache and is not eating, its top fin also has some viruses or something like that!
I really doubt that the water quality is bad though, because the tank has housed every single fish i have had (endlis, other flowerhorns, black ghost knife fishes ... etc) so i was wondering what should i do if my flowerhorn really has Hexatima? Like what medicine should i get?
