Flowerhorn Cichild not eating :(

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm still in need of some help too....I don't see any white stringy poop anymore but it hasn't eaten in a week....I've tried two treatments of JUNGLE PARASITE CLEAR which contains PRAZIQUANTEL and METRONIDAZOLE....It looks like it's a little more active (only stayin on one side of the tank). Mostly it just hangs around near the top corner of the tank by the filter. My fish is housed in a 90 gallon by itself...running an emperor 400...I usually do a small water change every week... Is there anything else I can try that can be easily purchased.

Ok, yes i have put epsom salts which i bought from a pharmacy and left it for a day, however the flowerhorn is still inactive, stomache is VERY bloated, and its top fins seem to be rotting (either from parasites or because it leaves the fin above water because it keeps to the top of the tank).

So do i try the epsom salts one more time? Or should i move on to jungle.

Oh yes, zippo i have read other online articles showin that flowerhorns are very hardy and at least your flowerhorn is showing improvement... mine has a stomach that gets more bloated up by the day !!! WHAT DO I DO ABOUT THAT?

Mine seems to be more active when I turn off the lights....maybe it feels less stressed out when its off.... still not eating though....stomach seems to be protuding a bit more....alot thinner now since it hasn't eaten in two weeks....I just purchased API GENERAL CURE....hopefullly it'll work

get a bucket full of water from your tank... put about 6 tablespoons of epsom.. put the FH in there for 5 or so mins.. this should draw out some of the fluid in his gut,,
do this 2 or 3 times per day..
let me know how it goes,,
as far as i know its the only way to fix bloat..
