It has already been stated that if you don't approve, there is no need to post, or at least keep it civil. It is a controversial subject. If you think it is wrong then simply post why it is wrong, no need to flame.
 
So, whats the difference if I feed my fish a rat, frog, bloodworm, shrimp, feeder, cricket? I even heard of people breeding cichlids for food. Hell while you are at it, why bother keeping these fish in your tank if you try to talk cruelty. Technically, every food you give them (except probably algae based food) was a living thing. What do you want to do kill the frog/mice first before feeding it? I know some fish would not touch anything unless it tries to move so it is pretty pointless doing so.

I know that piercing of those oscars were unnecessary but this?! Cmon now! Even zoo keepers feed their snakes some mice/rat. At the wild, these fish would eat anything that can fit in their mouth. Why not let them do the same thing while in captivity? I could honestly say that this mouse is meant to be food and nothing else.
 
Anybody ever think that it could have been a thawed pinky, commonly sold at pet stores for snake food? There hasn't been any contradictory evidence yet. All I am alluding to is that you need to get your facts straight before jumping to conclusions.

is fat not bad for a fishes diet?? i was just wondering cuz i heard itwas a bad idea to feed pirahna mice which is why i didn't but is it alright for them???

Yes it's alright for them. No hard claws or such. It's similar to feeding them beefheart or shrimps or us eating different animals.. Just protein like other animals.
 
agreed.. Piranha are mainly scavengers if I am correct. But when it comes to a snake, lizard, MOUSE, easily caught they will attend to the dead cow a few minutes after the snack:)
