Flowerhorn growout

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Yea I got it all wrote down for my weekly schedule but feel like a freak accident is going to happen. Don’t know why but I just got that feeling. Usually when I get these feelings I’m right too.
I always have that feeling. Something is always up with one of my pets, so when it isn’t I am on high alert.

Yea, having severe anxiety doesn’t help either ? along with my adhd all I do is think of a million possibilities of terrible scenarios and that’s what I’m up all night doing ?. It’s just that he’s been eating perfectly, no disease or abnormalities and it just seems too good to be true and knowing how my past has been I know something absolutely ridiculous is gonna happen soon.

I want a flowerhorn! Are there any other fish that could fit in a 55g that are as personable as a fh?
Lol just grab yourself some tackle and gear and head out to the nearest pond. Ya should be able to find some pumpkin seed sunfish or if ya get really lucky ya might find the holy grail of sunfish, lepomis humulus a.k.a. the orange spotted sunfish. Both of those species get to roughly 4-5in depend on whether it's male or female. Here's a pic of each, pretty easy to tell what is what based on name.

But yeah these guys are allot like SA & CA cichlids with their aggression level and personalities. Lol lots of attitude, personality and color all wrapped up into a neat lil package.

My favorite is the blue spot sunfish

Yeah they are nice but the only downside is is they need sub tropical temps to live in since they are native to Florida, while with the other 2 I mentioned, both are cold water species so they can handle allot wider range of temps. So no heater needed technically.
