I have a thai silk flowerhorn and it doesnt seem to grow any kind of horn....is there any way I can make him grow one? Is there a specific food I should feed him? Please answer

Check out is it really its a male ..... if it is a male its the genes that helps to develop a kok ... secondary is good water condition and a balanced diet ....

Nothing you feed it will get it a kok. The genetics has to be there, if its not there then no amount of hormone packed foods will help. Sure hormone packed foods will aid if the genetics are there but if its past 4 inches and shows no kok then theres probably no genetics or its a female.

Too a point for extremely huge koks but all male cichlids grow a kok thats the reason why I recommend prime reef 60% protien and its freshwater safe if anything it will boost the thais growth and growth hormones in food are highly recommended against useing because of the health risk that it causes

The genetics have to be there for a fh to grow a hump, if its not there a kok is out of the question. Saying that all male cichlids grow a kok is just plain wrong. There's more cichlids that dont grow humps such as a cobalt blue zebra, electric blue, kenyi. From my estimation, only 10% of cichlids actually grow hump and the rest doesnt.

You are giving the guy false hope.

There is nothing you can do about the kok as the post above said it's all about genetic. If you want the fish to get a kok, next time pay a little bit more money to get a quality fish that have more potential. Just forget about the kok, enjoy and have fun with your fish as it is now.

Ok then name me a species known too be used in the making of flowerhorns that doesn't grow a kok when talking about flowerhorns why would I consider anything else besides central american cichlids to be in the disussion I know I wasn't specific enough for you but really
