Flowerhorn Kok problem

I would also like to see a picture of him. To my knowledge the genetics of a kok should be there in the flowerhorn. All of the fish that I know of that are used to make the flowerhorns have a humps. So the genetics should be there to some extent, so if the water conditions are prime and he is getting the right nutrients he "could" form a hump. Yes genetics play a huge factor in the matter, but I would think that it should have the genetics for a hump, since all of the species used to make a flowerhorn have them. Correct me if I am wrong, but this is my opinion.

The genetics would need to be there for it to get a huge water kok, but i would think that if the conditions are prime and the nutrients are provided that it would develop somewhat of a hard kok.

Thank you the only thing I could add to your opinion is the fish would have to be a f3 product of using the smallest kok over and over

There is nothing you can do about the kok as the post above said it's all about genetic. If you want the fish to get a kok, next time pay a little bit more money to get a quality fish that have more potential. Just forget about the kok, enjoy and have fun with your fish as it is now.

Acually, I payed about 45 us dollars for it. At the time it was about 3cm. Thai silk flowerhorn

Ah, that makes sense.

It does but it it doesn't seem to be likely given the objective for showfish quality flowerhorns with big head and nice fins I'm looking forward to seeing pics always eager to see someone else's thai silk
