flowerhorn sick or sleeping

my flowerhorn usually lays down on the bottom of the tank while I'm away and just runs up to me when I approach him. I think he sleeps or something UNDER THE HEATER. he shows no sign of sickness and water conditions and water temp are at 78. 125 gallon tank with and he is alone. Maybe he is bored and wants tank mates? or is he sick?

Ok, just keep in mind that I would go with the smaller species if you go this route.

what temp is like 83 F and heaters and set to 82. is that normal?

he is breathing normal.. he did use to move around and chase other fishes few days ago when he had tank mates. he didnt hurt any of them
