Flowerhorn

Are you sure that's a flowerhorn? Looks like a jack or a jewel cichlid to me. Plus it's missing head kok.
kinda looks like my flowerhorn, but i dont know what mine is either lol. hes got some nice bars though. kinda looks amphilophus. barred midas hybrid maybe?
it is he is actually smaller than he looks still in baby stage wont show nice colors yet
here is mine at about 4". he didn't start growing the kok till about 3".
and now at about 7"
sorry for bad picture. he has those vivid dark bars that he flashes as well and is getting some nice red coloration. somebody suggested he was just a standard zhen zhu. not bad for a $15 petsmart fish though. i would try some good frozen foods, target fish, or mirror time to stimulate his kok growth.
yep i feed him cichlid bug bites regulary and some bloodworms here and there but he's almost 2 inches ish
thanks. he deserves a nicer tank than my banged up old 75 gallon but thats all i have right now to keep him in. looking forward to seeing how big he gets because hes grown quite fast. went from 2" to 7" in about 7 months.
