His double row seems to be fading off, I think it's time to buy Hai Feng FH flowerlines food. Lots of good results with that for bringing out the flowerlines back and not having it fade away. If you were to take it to compete, any flowerlines that fades like that can cut your points off a whole lot. Everything matters...pearls, kok, body structure, coloration, flowerlines, and health.

i checked my lfs they dont have any such food. :nilly: his pearls look faded but when ever i sit in front of the tank and play with him his body gets intense colors and also his pearls ( both lines ) appear thick black :headbang2

Most LFS doesn't seem to be carrying Hai Feng food. You might have to order it off from Hai Feng's site.

Hopefully you got the right product! They are A-life. How much did it cost you + s&h?

I just looked at the pics you posted in the following link.

Your flowerline problem is not diet related, it's environmental.
The tank you have that fish in looks like the WTT (white tank treatment) that Asian aro breeders use to groom gold Xbacks. That bright/white environment has simply triggered a morphological change within the chromatophore cells of the fish. Feeding Hai Feng isn't going to help, unless they have discovered a way to only enhance the Melanophore (black/brown) cells in a fish, which is highly unlikely. :)

If you add that background that you showed in the link above, and somewhat darkened the color of the bottom of your tank, your fishes overall tone & color will change within a day or two, perhaps even within hours.

Depends on how you want to think on it. But in my own opinion and from all the fish I been observing and keeping track on. I've seen many FH hobbyist brought back their FH their flowerlines with A-life.
And from your point, yes I can agree with that. But what is your other option when you tried all that it doesn't seem to make a difference?
