Your Festae look great! My first experience with them frustrated me and I swore them off. But over a year later I have a new batch of growouts. At least now I know what to expect. I hope you enjoy your current round with the species. They are really attractive fish that are worth the challenges that comes with keeping them. Keep us posted.

@Jason, I just found a vid of your old pair (mom & dad). They're outstanding speciens. hopefully these little guys live up to their parents.
I want to post the vid on here but i can't get the link to work. if you can do it for me that would be great.

@Al, I hear what you're saying. I swore them off too. My original group were great quality and beautiful. I just didnt go the extra mile to spawn them when the time came. I wound up getting an offer on them that i couldnt refuse. They subsequently died during shipping when their box got stranded due to inclement weather. They were on the brink and i was just really disappointed in myself for selling them.
It was a learning experience.

Well I would post a video of their parents but I don't have any:( I had some ready to upload to YouTube a long time ago but all the footage were on my ex wifes computer..... Long story. I'll have to look around and see if I can find anything lingering around. I've had plenty of festae in the past, lol not sure which video you're referring too:)

Idk. I saw a vid on your YouTube channel from about a year ago. Just assumed they were the parents. Too bad they're not because they're great looking!
Either way, I've been convinced for a while now that the quality of a fish is largely dependent on the quality of it's environment, especially early on in life. Furthermore, I wouldn't be the first to suggest that the condition of the parents plays a huge role as well.
If this is true, you and Ira outdid yourselves...

Well thank you:) I appreciate it. And actually the parents looked better than that pair you saw. Pretty much all the fry including the ones you have will look better than the parents and that pair you saw;) definitely keep the updates coming tho and good luck with obtaining a pair.

when you get your pair from the fry, if there are other decent looking pairs, PM me. i supposedly live close by...idk for sure just an assumption... i would buy a pair if i have tank space. should have alot when i move in dec.
