Waste appears normal to me. For her to be producing waste like that, she has to be
eating some foods.

I actually have not seen her eat for the past week, and I never leave left over food sitting in the tank except for blackworms. I normally throw in a spoonfull of blackworms right on top of her during feeding time so she knows theres food, but normally she would just move to the otherside of the tank and burrow herself again. Even when there are nightcrawlers right next to her she still would not eat it.

Anyway she could have been constipated or something? I hope that is a good sign, we'll see if she eats today. :nilly:

Did you get her started on the Prazi treatment?

Not yet, I felt like I had to do a large water change first which I did yesterday. I'm going to run and get some prazi after class right now.

Should I just follow the instructions? How long should I leave the meds in my tank? Anything else I should know about...? This is my first time using Prazi..

I was thinking maybe she eats at night since stingrays are known to hunt for prey after dark. Maybe trying feeding her after the lights are out.

As with PraziPro, I use standard dose as per David W. previous posts.

The directions do tell you to do a big wc prior to dosing. I had to use several doses the last time I had a ray with issues. I increased the dosage after the first 2 as they didn't seem to be helping. Might want to do some digging but I was thinking that it may take up to 3 weeks of treatment. Each time I used it I've had different results as far as how long before results were apparent. Usually saw improvement in half a week. I would expect it to be most effective if you inject it into a worm, assuming the ray will eat.

Stupid me..I forgot I have an aging barrell where the door opens to get my FX5 so I have to wait to do another water change before I can pull the carbon out of my FX5. Then I can start treating with prazi.

I figured since I'm doing another water change tomorrow, I might as well feed the fish tonight.. She ate 2 nightcrawlers today.. I think she's making progress! :D

I REALLY REALLY hope she is just still settling in but I wil use prazi as a pre-caution.

She is doing MUCH better now.. :D

She had a good meal and is actually very active now. Seems to be exploring the tank quite a bit.

I think the removal of some tank mates yesterday did the trick. The culprit was the flagtail prochilodus. I noticed it sucking on her tail quite a bit. Just removed him yesterday and today she is happy, probably should have moved it a long time ago. :grinno:

Just wanted to thank all of you that helped. :headbang2

Glad to hear, never owned a flag, but have heard the can cause issues with rays.

great news! quit stressin and enjoy her now! shes a beauty!
