its not that hard to clean really. i just pour a little in a pot, rinse it good with the water hose a few times, and youre good to go. never had any cloudy water

I bought used fluorite that was already rinsed before he put it in his tank.
He rinsed it before he sold it to me, I rinsed it for about a hour before putting it in my tank and I still had cloudy water for about a day or so..
Not sure how people are buying new stuff and rinsed it a little bit and not getting any cloudy water at all..? I was even running EMP-400 in a 29 gallon tank to help clear up my water..

it took me only about an hour to wash 7 kg of flourite red and my tank was crystal clear when i filled it up. the only thing is that it was 6 months between washing the flourite red and putting it in the tank. i also put another substrate over the flourite red too.
