But see the minnow isn't a pet. Because he didn't purchase, feed, house, care for or use baby talk when he talked to it, so it has no value. Can't you see the line there? It's the one branded with the word convenience

Was a vague response, not directed at a single person. I've always been taught to put an animal out of its misery as quick and as humanely as possible. Flushing a living creature does neither of these.
Its the one branded with the word food, and bait. I've been killing minnows by hooking them and fishing with them since I was a kid and using them as feeders for a while. They are in no way important, especially one that I had a grudge against for dodging me out for weeks. Very different situation, nice try to defend animal abusers though.

Explain with detail what makes the fish different from the minnow? Price? Anything <$1 is flushable? Or is it size? You must be "this" short to be flushed! Or is it your anger level? Grrrr I'm mad, the rage makes it ok to flush fish...
You're as bad as them, just cause you don't value the creature means it doesn't matter but then judge them for the same actions....
I wouldn't chop a dogs head off, I'd euthanize it by taking it to the vet. And before I get stupid responses about taking a sick fish to the vet every time I need it euthanized I have the means to do it to a fish humanely at home, not a dog.
Its the fact that minnows are trash fish that makes me feed them and use them for bait, they are garbage to have in your tank if they're not being eaten. This happened again recently and I gave it the ol' vodka and ice water treatment. I wouldn't do it again. And I was younger at the time so we all live and learn.
